Alfred Doolittle
September 1913, Covent Garden, London. Wimpole Street, near the Higgins residence…
Alfred Doolittle. A common dustman. Around 60. He is Miss Doolittle’s father. He is always dirty due to his job and uses a lot of foul language. He has been reported to have started a lot of fights in pubs and complaints have been made due to the noises and screams coming from his small house in Covent Garden (could that be the Welsh origin in him as Mr. Higgins made the point of saying?). He has been seen in the Higgins’ residence in two occasions so far, trying to talk to his daughter. She refused and Mr. Doolittle became violent, screaming and grabbing her arm. He was also seen pulling at Mrs. Hall’s arm and trying to break into the house. Mr. Higgins did not shoo the dustman. Doolittle reeks of smoke and alcohol.
We don’t know his intentions and the young woman living with him has no official records
Common dustman. Ill-bred, dirty, egotistical.
