Pride (2014)
Our dear “Puck” from Midsummer Night’s Dream recommends this wonderful movie which tells the real life story of a group of gay and lesbian activists working with a village of striking welsh miners in 1984, complete with intimate character studies and a message of optimism despite adversity. Told through the lens of a closeted young man, it explores themes of sexuality and coming out, the aids epidemic, intersectional activism and more, never failing to make us cry.
